Deed of Contract between John Derrickson Sr. and Wesley W. Brown |

This indenture witnesseth that John Derrickson Sr. and Rachel his wife
in consideration of four hundred dollars to them paid by Wesley W. Brown the receipt
whereof is duly acknowledged do hereby bargain sell and convey to said Brown his heirs and assigns
forever the following Real Estate in Shelby county and state of Indiana and described
as follows, to wit;
The West half of the South half of the East half of the North East quarter of section nineteen
of Township Thirteen North of Range Eight East containing twenty acres, also twenty acres it being
the East half of the North West quarter of the South East quarter of said section Nineteen in
Township Thirteen range Eight East Together with all the privileges and appurtences to the
same belonging to have and to hold the same to the said Wesley Brown his heirs and assigns forever
The grantors their heirs hereby covenanting with the grantee his heirs and assigns that the grantee his heirs and assigns that the
so conveyed is clear; free and unencumbered and that they will warrant and defend the same against
all lawful claims whatsoever.
In Witness Whereof the said John Derrickson Sr. and Rachel Derrickson his wife have
hereunto set his hand and seal this 20th day of March 1894.

Be it remembered that the above named John Derrickson Sr. and Rachel Derrickson his wife the grantors
in the foregoing conveyance came this day personally before me Henry Haines, a Notary Public, in
and for said County and the contents and purport of said deed being by me made known and explained to
them they acknowledge the same to be their voluntary act and deed.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my Notarial seal
at my office in said County this twentieth day of March A.D. 1854
