Aerobics: I began doing dance aerobics in 1990 while living in Seattle WA and I continued in various classes finally finding my niche in step aerobics. I took my instructors test in 1999 but I still do not teach on a regular basis. I normally go to the Pikes Peak YMCA for all of my classes. The Y has been one of the best investments I have ever made for my health. Walking/Running/Hiking: I began walking/running in 1995. I've never been a huge fan of running; however, I needed a supplemental aerobic exercise to complement my aerobics due to knee injuries. I took up biking and running about the same time and running won out. In 1999 I was invited to climb the Havasu Canyon (near the Grand Canyon) with some friends from work. I managed to make it down the canyon and back up (about 10 miles one-way). That was quite a culmination in my hiking odyssey that I began about 3 years ago. Raquetball: I began playing raquetball in 1997 with my friend Phil from work. Phil was a Jr. Collegiate champion in college and he would kindly play me left-handed (and soundly whoop me) to increase my skills. I don't play very much lately because I do not have a partner. The Y does have open courts every Friday but the baby has taken most of that free time. If you play and need a partner shoot me an e-mail. I consider myself a a beginner-intermediate level player. |

MY TEAM SPORTS: My team sport choices should suprise no one considering where I come from. I am Colorado everything, and especially Colorado Springs everything. Broncos, Avs, Nuggets, Rockies. Some of our local teams are the Sky Sox, and the Goldkings. College teams are the Colorado College Tigers (hockey) and The Buffs (University of Colorado football).
