This piece is a wedding vase. I've heard several stories about the use of this vase. One is that the bride and groom drink wine out of each side of the pot. Another is that the bride and groom each put a cutting in one side of the wedding vase..as their roots entwine, the relationship grows and deepens.

The piece is done with sandstone glazes with 22K gold incised lines. The inside is clear glaze, so the pot can hold water.
