Dear Prospective Member,

Colorado Land Cruisers is a four wheel drive club organized to bring together Toyota owning families and individuals interested in exploring, maintaining, preserving, and enjoying, with our fellow Club members, the remote portions of Colorado. We are also involved in volunteer activities to assist the USFS and BLM is cleaning ,clearing, identifying, and mapping the back country transportation systems and 4wd trails.

Besides the third Tuesday, monthly meeting at the UMB bank on south Nevada St., Colorado Springs, we venture into the forest or have at least one monthly scheduled outings during the inclement months. And we are currently planning some activity for almost every weekend during the summer season with two of these being a camping trips.

To be a voting member you only have to be the owner of a Toyota 4wd vehicle, with a low range; be a legally licensed driver at least 18 years of age; provide proof of liability insurance and registration; and join the national Toyota Land Cruiser Association.

Members, while enjoying the 4wd trips, also enjoy the exchange of ideas, tips and suggestions for vehicle improvement, and off-road techniques as well as a BI-monthly newsletter. The majority of us are in a constant quest of learning the "how", as well as the "where" of Colorado mountain four wheeling. The challenge of off-roading is to match the driver skill and vehicle capability to the trail, leaving the forest in better condition than you found it.

If you’re interested in some of the items discussed above, we would be pleased if you would join the Colorado Land Cruisers, and participate in the fellowship of a group interested in safe and challenging four wheeling activities.

Our Membership Chairperson is the Club’s Vice President, Rob Grimes. He may be reached at, 719) 475-7609. He has application forms and will provide you with any specific information you may need to finalize your decision and join the "fun". If you prefer email Rob is grimes@pcisys.net , and CLC is clcrocks@pcisys.net or http://www.pcisys.net/~clcrocks .

Kindest personal regards,

Jerry Nichols
