Follow Up, New Orphans, New Friends
The room that was under construction in the '95 pictures
turned out looking like this. Great progress!
Because of isolation due to vaccination, we were unable to
spend time with the children in the main orphanage this trip.
However, we were able to spend some time with the kids at the
Distrofik Hospital.

A new experience in Arad was to attend a concert at the Arad
Cultural Palace. This building has been beautifully restored. I
was attracted to this ceiling detail.
Developing a Youth Camp

One new area of work for the Romanians is the development of
a youth camp. They recently purchased this area of land for this
project.
The person driving the funding and the work for the youth
camp is Pete Gibson, a missionary from the US. Pete resides in
Arad with his wife, Barbara.

One of the first things needed at the camp was pits for the
toilet facilities. We spent considerable effort digging two holes
like this the day we were at the camp. We also did some brush
clearing and did lots of wading through stinging nettle.
