Pictures/First Bigej Boat Trip

Rented a "B" boat and went to Bigej to snorkel and beachcomb. Bigej is an uninhabited island about 12 miles north of Kwajalein on the east reef of the atoll:

We did this trip on September 2nd, 2003; this time of year marks the end of the doldrums, where the winds are non-existent and the water is quite calm. Our timing was impeccable; the next day sported 20kt winds out of the west, connected to some tropical disturbance. We didn't encounter a wave over a foot, and that was in the channel just south of Bigej.
