Papa Joe from Idaho's Official Place

(Anything else is just an imitation)

Howdy, I'm "Papa Joe" and I'm originally from Boise, Idaho.

You're probably wondering, "Who is Papa Joe and why should I care?"

Why thank you very much for asking.

First of all I'm just old. Ask my grandkids, they'll tell you.

Second of all I'm a geek, sort of. I love to work on computers.

I love to set up new computers for those who feel intimidated by the metal beast.

I do this part time from the comfort of my home.

I AM THE LOWEST PRICE FOR JOE'S COMPUTER REPAIR ANYWHERE.

I retired from the United States Army as a motor transport non commissioned officer (I was the truckmaster of an Army motor pool in Yokohama, Japan) in December 1990. During my military career (1967 - 1990) I've had the opportunity to serve at many stateside and overseas locations.

Here is a picture of my updated crest collection

I recently decided to showcase my Challenge Coin collection.

I've settled down in Colorado Springs, Colorado and am a web developer since 1996, I love to build web pages and over the years have lent my expertise to a number of online veterans organizations:

The 519th Transportation Association, Thailand dedicated to those with a Thailand connection.

United States Army Support, Thailand Association is a networking center for webmasters and veteran searching for information on USARSUPTHAI websites.

Thailand Laos Cambodia Brotherhood to those who served in SEA, outside the borders of RVN.

The Army Transportation Association, Vietnam transporters, AIR, SEA, or GROUND in RVN.

The 18th Aviation Company Otter Nest website about the first Army fixed wing aviation company to serve in RVN.

There are many other sites that have been influenced by one or more of these websites.

Today I still actively support websites where veterans can register or create a profile and access many locator services.

Places like:

Where a DOD level effort is underway for veterans to create their profile and enter their military service details. There are USAF, USN, USMC and USCG counterpart sites that can be accessed from here.

Military.Com website is another place to locate veterans.

Classmates.com is still another place to locate friends.

Now that you know more about me I trust you will visit some of the above websites and if you are a veteran or know of a veteran who is not computer literate enough to navigate the internet, maybe you can help that veteran share their experiences with others. - Joe
