Personal and Family Interests

I am a committed Christian and family man. Married for 38 years, my wife and I have five children and nine grand-children. We worship at New Life Church in Colorado Springs and are occasionally active in the World Prayer Team. For more information about me, see my personal information page.

Read the Uncompahgre Trail (no frames version), a historical account of one of the early pioneer families to settle Western Colorado. My daughter, Angel, transcribed this historical account of the States and Castle families in Delta County Colorado and now I have made it available on the web.

My adoptive ancestors were Colorado pioneers as well. My adoptive mother's family settled in the Southern part of Colorado initially. She told stories of riding the Galloping-Goose, as a school-girl, from Ophir to Telluride. A fews years agao I searched for and found my birth-family, I have posted my story here.

...not so famous quote:

   "The computer's memory is like a desk;
    the smaller the desk, the less work you can get done.
    This is because you have to shuffle things on and off
    your desk. Now if you have a bigger desk, you don't
    have to shuffle as much and can get work done more
    efficiently."
