BETRAYAL

Your name is a betrayal for it lingers in my heart.
An everyday reminder of a love that cannot start
For you belong to someone else and, my darling, so do I.
Every time your eyes meet mine I look away and sigh.
Though your smile leaves me breathless in a most delightful way,
Unrequited is my longing for a name I dare not say.
