from a 8½ X 11 sheet
Makes a nice Christmas ornament.
Cut a ~5¼ " strip (5.196").
making the paper 11x 5.2.
Then draw vertical lines at ~1¾" (1.732) and ~3½"
(3.464).
Draw
marks along one side at 1, 3 ,5 ,7 ,9, 11 inches and
along the other side at 2, 4, 6, 8, 10
inches.
Draw
lines from the 1" mark across to the 4" mark, 3 to 6, 5 to 8,
7 to 10 etc and the same the other way making 3 rows of triangles.
Like so:
Fold on the lines, all in the same
direction.
Then you remove the Gray area and Cut the side rows into parallelograms
(white +red).
Slip the white triangles under the
next red one to make the ends
while the center row makes the middle belt
of the icosahedron.
