Professional Biography of Tim Chambers

Summary

I'm the program manager responsible for Linux Solutions and Technical Knowledge Management on HP's Solution Alliances team. Focused on the Linux Marketing Program Management Office (PMO) and the Open Source and Linux (OSL) Ambassador program. HP's Technology Ambassador program is a presales initiative that identifies specialists peaked in particular areas. The Ambassadors are responsible for representing the general presales community, disseminating knowledge, and raising the level of presales expertise. Key areas I concentrate on are facilitation of the PMO, knowledge transfer, knowledge management, and communications. I'm also the program manager for linux.helpcustomers, HP's team that addresses customer questions and feedback relating to OSL on HP products, and I'm the HP liaison to the HP worldwide users group Linux SIG. I am on the leading edge of HP's adoption of Web 2.0 / social media and am recognized as HP's senior expert in wiki technology. I lead the HPLinux Twitter team.
