Misdiagnosis of PTSD by The Department of Defence.

Every so often I find it necessary to bring visitors up-to-date on a new topics or expand information about PTSD to show how PTSD is being handled by the overseer of military actions, the Department of Defence.

Over the pass several months I have been hearing stories and reading reports that go back over a year that military personnel have been experiencing misdiagnosis of thier PTSD and they are being discharged for many reasons. None of these discharges would be rated as honorable so the personnel are discharged with NO BENEFITS including Department of Veterans Affairs; medical, educational, vocational rehabilitation, On-The-Job Training OR Department of Defence disability!

To date, the following are examples of these discharges and the disservice given to our military personnel. [male and female]
  1. Misconduct Discharges
  2. Other Mental Disorders ~ Stated as Pre-existing
  3. Pre-existing conditions before military duty [Government BS!]
  4. Various types of trauma
  5. Differential Diagnosis of PTSD Symptoms
  6. Understanding the biology of Post-traumatic Stress.
  7. What are we looking for in our returning military personnel??
