Badly damaged Engine 205 is seen on the ground after this September 1902 wreck, west of Divide.  Author Mel McFarland pointed out that another view of this mishap is depicted on page 78 in his book "The Midland Route: A Colorado Midland Guide and Data Book", in which he noted that the accident occurred when the train came upon rain-damaged rails.  The engineer was crushed in the locomotive's cab.  Another print of this photo can be found on page 448, in Morris Cafky's "Colorado Midland".  This print came from General Car Forman Alvin White's mementos, although the wreck happened before his tenure began at the Midland.
