Initial reaction to programmer dream job by Reynolds

Today a friend pointed me to Scott C. Reynolds' little farce: "So You Wanted To Be A Computer Programmer..." I couldn't limit my reaction to 140 characters.
Computer programmers sound as if they've had it pretty rough in this generation. I entered the industry in the early 80's as a college intern. This isn't the day for me to go into details of the history, but Reynolds' piece reminds me that my generation invented the technology that makes this generation of computer programmers' careers possible. I tip my hat to my fellow software engineers and computer scientists, and I regret that it didn't turn out more humane.
