I'm Martha of Joyworx. I'm the other half of a lovely duet that's been playing for over twenty years. I began writing poetry in grade school, a legacy from my grandfather, published poet & playwright Eugene P. Koppin. The legacy was passed on to my son, who is a gifted artist in his own right. In 1993 my husband suggested I take an art class so I could sketch and paint while he photographed the fabulous Colorado scenery. I fell in love with watercolors!! They are so much like life: If you mess with the colors too much you get mud. If you apply pure, clear and transparent colors mixed with patience, and don't hurry the process, you end up with a work of art! Feel free to just take time to enjoy the paintings. God's gift to me can be my gift to you. |
